EARLY FLINT RIFLE
Description: Early Germanic Flint rifle. This rifle is a copy of a original "Glatt Buechse" (smooth-rifle)  transitional piece most likely from the Bucks Co. area built about 1760. Unsigned but never-the-less this is a super Pre-Rev. War piece!! The copy is made with a Oct-to-round, 60 caliber rifled Getz barrel at 40-1/4", Chambers Flintlock-reshaped, Sugar maple wood, custom brass hardware, sliding wood box make the overall gun but the detailed raised carving is the stopper............ very European in style & execution. A very cool flintlock made our German forefathers!!!!

EARLY FLINT RIFLE
Description: A early flint rifle from area of Easton, Pa , circa 1765. This rifle is built in the spirit of Isaac Berlin. The stepped wrist, wide buttplate and large triggerguard as well as the early flint lock give this gun a feel of a original rifle, straight from Germany ancestry. Heavy changes were made.... such as the carving is highly influenced by Andreas Albrecht and other unknown early masters. If studied closely, you'll notice "gargoyles" blended into the carving.  This rifle started with a Getz barrel, 44 inches long octagon-to-round in a 60 caliber,  A Chambers refiled flintlock  Curly maple stock, brass mountings all blended into a well balanced hunting rifle of the transition period before the Rev. war.
