EARLY FLINT RIFLE Description: A early flint rifle from area of Easton, Pa , circa 1765. This rifle is built in the spirit of Isaac Berlin. The stepped wrist, wide buttplate and large triggerguard as well as the early flint lock give this gun a feel of a original rifle, straight from Germany ancestry. Heavy changes were made.... such as the carving is highly influenced by Andreas Albrecht and other unknown early masters. If studied closely, you'll notice "gargoyles" blended into the carving. This rifle started with a Getz barrel, 44 inches long octagon-to-round in a 60 caliber, A Chambers refiled flintlock Curly maple stock, brass mountings all blended into a well balanced hunting rifle of the transition period before the Rev. war.
